Ticker Tape updated!

Version 1.2.1 of Ticker Tape introduces a few user-requested enhancements such as the ability to suppress the Agent when a full screen application is active (such as a PowerPoint presentation or media player), if the Agent workstation is within defined IP subnet ranges or if a special 'marker' file (called SuppressTickerTape.dat) is present at the root of the Agents system drive.

Additionally, messages can now be flagged as 'alerts' causing them to flash at the Agent workstations to 'grab' attention - intended for rare occassions when (likely non-I.T. system) security or safety incidents occur, providing a means to quickly advise users in an effecient manner.

New minor version of Ticker Tape released, v1.2

This minor update to Ticker Tape adds some additional functionality, including the ability to configure Ticker Tape from the GUI itself, rather than having to edit configuration files manually and should make setting Ticker Tape up much, much easier and more reliable.

A new 'Live Preview' function is also included allowing you to see exactly what an Agent message would look like as you alter its font, size, colours, speed and width on the fly.

v1.2 of the Administrator component is fully compatible with older Agents, so Agent updates can also be safely staged.

This minor update to Ticker Tape corrects a number of issues with the initial release, along with adding a small amount of additional user requested functionality including the ability to alter the font and width of the Ticker Tape Agent message bar.

Several bug fixes are also included, increasing the resilience of both the Administrator and Agent components - in particular, the Agent now consistently launches at machine start-up when there are spaces in the path to its executable.

If you're using v1.0, you are encouraged to update to v1.1 as soon as possible.
